DescriptionThe Lookout Farmers Market is now at six locations -- with local growers and craftsfolk selling all manner of homegrown and local goods ranging from veggies, fruit, herbs, nuts, cheese, milk, eggs, meat, honey, jams, coffee, tea, baked goods, art, crafts, soaps, candles, lotions, flowers, plants, doggie treats and more!
Help at one of our six markets either one day or several times. We have different markets at different locations on different weekdays.
Monday - Hamilton Place Area - 4-7pm
Tuesday - Audubon Acres - 4-7pm
Thursday - Lookout Mountain - 4-7pm
Friday - Incline/St Elmo - 4-7pm
Saturday - North RIver YMCA - 10am-1pm

We can always use help distributing our Market posters during the months leading up to the Market opening for the Summer, Harvest and Winter Markets. If you are interested in picking up a stack of posters and delivering them in your neighborhood, this is the opportunity for you.
· Market Setup and Breakdown
Setup for the week day Markets starts atand wraps up at , our Sat. market duties start at and ends at .
Opening Duties: Sponsor booth setup, Info Booth setup, vendor assistance, signage placement, music stage setup and duties as assigned. Set up volunteers may opt to come back in the afternoon for Market Breakdown.
Market Breakdown Duties: Breaking down sponsor booths, Info Booth breakdown, vendor assistance, signage retrieval, stage breakdown and duties as assigned.
·Vendor Booth Support: Vendors at the Market often need help setting up and taking down their booths or they may require breaks. We're looking for volunteers to help them. Hours vary depending on need. Market Staff can help match volunteers to vendors who could use the extra assistance. Set up and break down are the same as above.
Special Event Support The Market often has featured events such as cooking demonstrations, art workshops, music and bands, farmers market club, family activities, fundraiser dinners, cultural performances, canning classes and farmtours. Our staff needs extra help setting up these events in the morning and breaking down in the afternoon. We can always use help at our Market Kick-Off and Closing parties.
Information Booth: Manage by sharing information presented, greeting, and answering questions. Conduct EBT and booth sales transactions. Assist Market Manager by checking farmers’ certificates, conducting customer counts and market surveys, and collecting produce for weekly drawing.
· Education Booth: Promote healthy eating, organic gardening, composting and recycling.
· Kids Activity Booth: Help design and facilitate activities to engage children to learn about fresh produce, sustainable local agriculture, environmental issues and community issues, and engage in art and games.
