Outdoor Chattanooga



Our mission is to make outdoor recreation an attractive, healthy, and distinguishing lifestyle for Chattanooga's residents and visitor population, which, in turn, will maintain and enhance the value of the region's natural and built resources, and help grow the region's economy.


Learn to Ride a Bike - 2nd Monday of each month, 6 p.m.

Volunteer to assist beginning riders of any age learn to ride a bike and progress at their own speed and ability. Knowledge of bicycling a must.


Bicycle Maintenance - ongoing

Help maintain a fleet of road and off-road bicycles with regular maintenance to tires, gears, and other mechanical parts. Knowledge of bicycle maintenance required.


Bicycling Ambassador - ongoing

Assist as a ride marshal for scheduled bicycle tours on area roadways, must have experience and comfort with road riding and a thorough knowledge of roadway signage and hand signaling


Special events: Set up, break down and running of competetive community events, outdoor education and outreach events, including running, bicycling, climbing and paddling events.
