Northside Neighborhood House


    

Description

The mission of the Northside Neighborhood House is to promote the independence of residents living north of the river by providing a hand up through education and direct assistance. This mission is executed through three main programs: Education, Direct Assistance, and Thrift Stores.


Responsibilities

Teenagers are needed in the following areas:

  • After-school tutoring (3:45-5:30 weekdays)
  • General maintenance and sorting at Thrift Stores  (Saturdays 10-3)
  • Creating hygiene bags (M-F 2:30-5:30)
  • Host a party and collect donations (independent project)
  • Run a food drive at your school (independent project)
  • Complete a research project to help inform both the community and the work we do, topic of your choice related to the NNH ( independent). 
  • Collect toys, school supplies for annual school supply shop and Santa‚Äôs Workshop Events. (independent)
  • Collect gently used clothes and household items (have a reverse yard-sale) to donate to NNH Thrift stores (independent).
