Chattanooga Area Food Bank



Volunteer shifts run from 9-12 am and 1-4 pm Monday thru Thursday every week.  Because the food bank closes early in the day, students have difficulty volunteering unless they have an entire afternoon off..


  • Warehouse work (M-Thursday 1-4, school breaks or summer month) These slots book up fast, so be sure to reach out to Mark Huffines, Volunteer Coordinator
  • Organize food drives in your community or  schools.  We accept all non-perishable food items, but our biggest needs are: canned fruit/vegetables, canned meats (tuna, chicken), cornmeal, dry beans, flour, fruit/vegetable juice, grits, oats, pasta, peanut butter, rice, soups (chili, beef stew, vegetable soup etc).
